About us

Our Purpose

Envision was established in August 2000 to provide high quality consultancy services to communities and organisations working towards sustainability

Our Philosophy

We believe that achieving sustainability requires a complete re-think and redesign of the way society operates: business as usual is no longer an option. An important area of redesign is at the local and community level. Our success at building a sustainable society will very much depend on the emergence of a new generation of strong, self-reliant, globally aware communities that are committed to achieving local business development, local resource stewardship and local self-determination. Envision supports the development of these communities and also of businesses committed to making sustainability their core business proposition

As a result of economic restructuring in the 1980s he became involved in community development, and in 1989 co-founded CBEC (Community Business and Environment Centre) in Kaitaia and helped establish the Far North's recycling system. In 1994 he project managed the introduction of Auckland City's kerbside recycling system, then managed the Tindall Foundation for five years. In 1997 he co-founded Zero Waste New Zealand Trust, and helped establish the Recycling Operators of New Zealand (RONZ) and Waste Not Auckland Trust.
